Discover the Discipleship Path

HOW DO I USE THE PATH?

The cross represents Christ. Place yourself in each section to discover where you are in your relationship with Christ. Then ask yourself these questions: KNOW Am I attending worship regularly? How often am I connecting with God and God’s people? GROW Am I involved in a bible study or small group to help me develop deeper as a disciple? GO How much mission work am I doing and is it deepening my relationship with God and people in my community?

To help each of us along our spiritual journey, Broadmoor's Discipleship team created this pathway as a tool to encourage growth and development. Let me draw your attention to a few things:

  • It's a circle, which we felt was the best representation of our continuous journey with Christ.

  • The colors of each section grow darker the further you go toward the cross in the middle. This is meant to symbolize growing deeper in your relationship with Christ in these three areas.

  • It’s split into three main sections that correspond to our mission statement as a church:
Know - connecting people to church and god, Grow -developing as a disciple and leader, and
Go - engaging and serving the community.

Where are you on this path?

If you're not sure at first glance, that's okay! Let's look at it in a different way:

There will be times in our lives where we’re doing a lot of mission work.

Perhaps you are in the deeper orange of Go, but maybe in the lighter blue of Know or
the lighter green of Grow

Once you've placed yourself on the pathway, what is one step you can take to move closer toward the center in one of those other 2 categories?

  • Could you make it to worship a few more times in the next few weeks?

  • Maybe you'd be interested in joining us for our next bible study?

Whatever it may be, this pathway is a tool for each of us to use as we make intentional strides to deepen our relationship with Christ and grow as disciples.
