Youth Ministry

Build relationships that lead students to connect with one another and God

UMY RELATIONAL VOLUNTEER

The Youth Ministry at BUMC thrives on an active volunteer team each week. Our goal is to maintain a 1:5 ratio of adults to students in order to effectively create relationships with all of our students. The main responsibilities of our volunteers are to provide a welcoming environment, connect with students, and assist with the logistical aspects of the weekly youth ministry.  UMY (United Methodist Youth) is a great night to play games, eat together, and grow spiritually. We rely on our adults to be there each week, but if you cannot commit yet to weekly volunteering please consider helping us with an event or two throughout the year! // Sunday nights 5:45-7:00

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER

You don’t have to be a Bible expert to help our students grow! Our Sunday School teachers simply need a heart for students and discipleship. We have 4 age-based classes that each require a team of volunteers. You won’t be alone! Our curriculum is fun, engaging, and easy to facilitate. // Sunday mornings 9:30-10:45, yearly

SMALL GROUP LEADER

Every 6 weeks during the school year our students are given 2-3 new options for a short-term small group. They get to choose one that they feel they need most for that point in their spiritual journey. We ask volunteers to lead a 6-week discussion for 10-12 students. // Wednesday nights 6:00-7:00 for 6 weeks

SPONSOR

If you feel led to support the Youth Ministry financially rather than physically, there are plenty of options including weekly meals, trips, mission projects and supplies.
