The River Worship

The message is provided by Reverend Megan Twyman, Associate Pastor at 11 AM in Anderson Hall.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

The River began in 2000 as The Gathering when a group of people longed for a “come as you are” praise and worship experience. The Gathering evolved into The Praise and Worship Service and moved to Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary at 9:45 a.m. In 2003 The River contemporary worship service was born and began worshiping in Pearce Hall at 11 a.m.

The Jordan River, with all of its biblical significance, the Red River nearby and the song, Let The River Flow were inspirations that led to the name change. It wasn’t long before the service outgrew the Pearce Hall and moved to Anderson Hall Gym, where we continue to worship and praise God at The River!

On First Sundays, you will experience Holy Communion and First Sunday Breakfast. Come by a little early to grab a bite to eat.
