LifeShare Blood Drive

The drive will be done in the BUMC parking lot on Albany.

Someone will need blood every two seconds and just one donation can save up to three lives. With all the wonderful advances in modern medicine, there is no manufactured substitute for human blood. It must be provided by volunteer blood donors in the community.

• The Shreveport Center is tasked to collect 1955 units of blood a month for all NW Louisiana hospitals and treatment centers.

• All seven LifeShare Blood Centers are tasked to collect 11,500 units per month.

• Area hospitals are still rationing blood.

• LifeShare Blood Center conducts an average of three blood drives every day of the week. The need is that great.
