Older Adults There are many opportunities for Older Adults at Broadmoor. We invite you to come and visit any of our Sunday School Classes and the other activities that are available.
SUNDAY SCHOOL On Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m. there are 4 Sunday School Classes available for you. All classes use the Cokesbury Adult Bible Series.
Achievers/Fellowship meets in Room 202. This is a class of married and single adults. Taught by Ray Owens and Mary Margaret Barr. Couples meets in Pearce Hall A large class of adults, where singles outnumber couples and discussion and participation are encouraged. Teachers are Mary McClanahan, Muriel Johnston, and Cecil Ramey. Fidelis Bible meets in the Meeting Room A class for ladies, who "aim to call, visit and keep in touch with each other," and have quarterly fellowship lunches. Taught by Nelda Barlow, Kathryn Thompson, Louise Thomas. Fellowship class meeting in Room 210 A class for ladies, who "seek earnestly to live up to the name we bear," and enjoy a fellowship luncheon each month. Taught by Dot Adams, Elaine Camp and Frances Terrill.
NEIGHBORHOOD LUNCH SITE Each Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. you are invited to spend some time fellowshipping, playing games and eating with others in the neighborhood. Anyone 60 and over is invited to attend. Lunch cost is $1.25 and this event is held in Pearce Hall.
BRIDGE CLUB On Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. in Pearce Hall come and play Bridge with the Bridge Club. A great time to get out and enjoy fellowship with others during the week.
LAMPLIGHTERS Every Fourth Thursday at 11:00 a.m. the Lamplighters meet in Pearce Hall. Lamplighters is a group of people who are age 60 and older who like to be active and enjoy the fellowship of other people of the same age. It is made up of men and women from varied backgrounds and welcomes any who would like to come. Lunch is available for $5 and reservations can be made by signing up at the reception desk or by calling the church office. 861-0586

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS Every 2nd Sunday of the month you may come by the Conference Room and have your blood pressure checked.
ANGELUS RINGERS Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. Any older adult with an interest in ringing handbells, whether they have previous musical experience or not, may become a member of this group. The ringers perform at area retirement communities and nursing homes.
