Chancel Choir Performs at Carnegie Hall

30 members of the Broadmoor UMC Chancel Choir performed the Rutter Requiem in Carnegie Hall on March 20, 2017. The performance was conducted by Dr. Anton Armstrong, director of the esteemed college choir of St. Olaf College. The Festival Chorus was made up of almost 200 singers from across the country featuring singers from high school, college, community and church settings. The choir would like to thank all those that supported both financially as well as with your prayers for a successful trip! The "home performance" of this work took place on the evening of April 9 in the BUMC sanctuary, featuring the Chancel Choir, chamber orchestra, and soloist Sarah Dunham. Thank you to Music Director Adam Philley for putting together a beautiful evening of music to begin Holy Week.
