Toiletries, Formula, Diapers, and Monetary Donations Needed for Flood Relief

South LA Flood Relief: How You Can Help!

Broadmoor members Melissa and T.J. Simpson will be making several trips to Baton Rouge in the next few weeks for flood relief. They’ve found that our neighbors to the South are currently most in need of toiletries, baby formula and diapers.

This week and next, bring travel size toiletries, [shampoo conditioner, body soap, hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes] along with baby formula, baby wipes and diapers to our church office. We will collect them for the Simpsons to bring as they venture South.

The money we collected this past Sunday is being used to purchase materials for flood buckets. Our children will experience hands-on missions packing those buckets this Sunday. The remainder of the collection will go directly to UMCOR to provide immediate, effective, and efficient supplies to flood areas. You can visit UMCOR.org to donate and learn more about the excellent flood relief The United Methodist Church provides. You may also still donate for flood buckets through the church office.

Thank you for the ways you serve and continue to love your neighbors!
