Celebrating 25 Years of Partnership with FUMC Ekaterinburg

Since 1991, Broadmoor United Methodist Church has supported the First United Methodist Church in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Our church in Ekaterinburg will be celebrating that partnership with a 25-year recognition service on February 21. A delegation of eight people from Louisiana, led by James Gillespie, will be in Ekaterinburg for the service. Thank you to all members of Broadmoor that have supported this ministry throughout the years.

While this mission trip is certainly different from a summer trip, there are several areas of need:

  1. Providing food bags for the elderly of the church to be given out at the end of worship on Sunday. ($800.00)
  2. Purchase of 100 copies of a Russian translation of Max Lucado’s book Cast of Characters for a book / Bible Study for two nights. ($800.00)
  3. Financial contributions for the purchase of children's clothes for children in the church.

Please place your checks in the offering plate or drop by the business office. Note “Russia Missions" on your check and make payable to BUMC. Please continue to pray for our Russian sister church in this difficult political time in Russia and for the safe travel and ministry of the team in Ekaterinburg.

Please call James Gillespie at 470–6806 if you would like more information or have questions.
