The following is a descriptive list of active United Methodist Women circles at BUMC. They are all eager to greet visitors and new members. We hope this information may help you find a circle that is convenient and comfortable for you.
* Dove Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month, September through May at 10:00 a.m. in the Meeting Room at the church. Most members are seniors, ages 55-85. Programs cover UMW Missions, Bible Studies and special interests.

* Encouragers Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month, September through May at 10:00 a.m. in members’ homes. Programs include UMW Missions, UMW Mission Studies and outreach to The Glenn and Kingsley Place retirement homes.

* Faith Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month, September through May at 10:00 a.m. at the church in room 200. (There is an elevator to the second floor.) Programs include Bible Studies and UMW Mission Studies. This circle also supports local mission projects such as the Layette Ministry at LSUHSC.

* Grace Cooke Circle meets the third Monday of each month, September through May at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room for a light supper. Most members are 50+ in age and are active or retired business women. Programs include UMW Mission Studies.

* Hope and Joy Circle meets the third Monday of each month, September through May at 1:00 p.m. in the church Parlor. Most members range in ages 65-85. Programs include UMW Missions, Bible Studies and special interests. This circle also supports the Layette Ministry and participates in programs/parties at retirement homes.

* Love Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month, September through May at 10:00 a.m. in members’ homes. Most members range in ages 60-85. Programs include UMW Mission Studies and Bible Studies. This circle also supports Church Women United, school supplies for underprivileged children and visits shut-ins.

* Lunchtime Fellowship Circle meets the second Wednesday of each month, September through May at noon in Pearce Hall. Circle members prepare lunch. No reservations required. Programs include UMW Missions and Bible Studies. This circle also supports the Family Violence Center. A nursery is provided for those with young children.

* New Evening Circle meets the third Thursday of each month, September through May at 6:15 p.m. in members’ homes. Most members are business women with children ranging from school age-college. Circle members have light refreshments or eat out. Programs include UMW Missions and special interests.
